Actually KZ2, Uncharted and LBP put together out sold Kung fu Panda and Lego Indiana Jones put together. Uncharted and LBP even outsold games like Mass Effect and Bioshock. Please shut up, and stop playing sales, because you obviously can't play good games.
81 actually now, and fun games never get high reviews because most critics are too boring to look past the games flaws and enjoy it for what it is. Fat Princess got 9 from IGN and Shadow Complex got 9.4 - but fact is most people will end up spending more time on Fat Princess than on Shadow Complex for the same price. Makes you wonder...

Not sure but I usually use amazon uk to get used stuff and the used price is about 40-45USD, which is just slightly under the price for a new copy of the game.
IDK about the rest of the world but in many European countries its just under 100 USD - which I think it seems the standard price for new games tho. In UK the price is about 75 USD, which doesn't seem to make sense when the other new games being released are all similar price to US ie. 60 USD.
Issue for me is that I can pre-order Uncharted 2, Ratchet&Clank, GT5 and many others, all at the same price of about 54USD, and all these games to me have the same quality as MW2.
Looks like a great game. 2D side scrolling games are incredibly fun. If this was out for PSN, I sure would buy it. Just find it such a shame when great XBLA and PSN games like this and Wipeout aren't released as a retail game aswell, with a lower price so that people who don't have xbox live and use PSN can enjoy it aswell...
Don't get me wrong. I enjoyed the COD games going back to the first two. I will still want to play the game. I just find unacceptable that they have to raise the price of the game, because they are so certain that it is going to be a big hit. Also, to this day COD4 is still a very expensive game for the time that it has been out. The Call of Duty and Guitar Hero series are Activision's top earners and they do the best they can to get the most money out of consumers.

Why would I spend £45 when I can buy many other games for much lower price than that? FACT is that many suckers will still buy the game at launch just because it is MW2. There are loads of sports titles coming out and good exclusives to keep me busy until I find a nice used copy for much cheaper than most people would have spent.
If you don't want to have to pay high prices at launch, do yourself a favour and don't buy the game at launch. Simple as that!

Once again you guess WRONG! GOW is an established franchise which has had great critical and fanbase success; while killzone 2 on the other hand had a lot to prove and improve. The game appeared late into the PS3 cycle and so trust me, the game will eventually outsell all the other 3 games but not by huge amounts. The sales will still be great for a game that doesn't appeal to everyone - due to its gore and extreme violence...
So its a good reason to bash the PS3 because it is harder to develop for, when there are other developers who have shown results no one would expect from a console? That is pure non sense...
Fact is that Insomniac are one of the most successful developers when it comes to create new franchises and producing games year after year. They started Spyro, which is a very critically acclaimed franchise in the PSone, and after it got sold the franchise just went downhill. It is still to this day a very profitable franchise. Same applies to Ratchet&Clank and Resistance. All quality franchises and all original, something which Microsoft seems to be lacking recently. So yeah 360 owners ...

Maybe it is because of MW2, but to me it is pretty obvious GT5 will be announced late November or early December as expected. Either way, this is a great move from Sony and Zipper because not only will the game probably be more polished, it will be released at a time where very few games usually get released. Any way, to me it is the perfect time because I finish my exams :))

PS: Scandinavian countries should be used to high prices by now. The average person in countries like Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark all make great money. The prices seem to be fairly relative to the economy. US, UK and JPN have lower prices because there is a bigger market than in other countries. Not the biggest expert on this though...
